Front Mission 3 Xinzhu problem

When using epsxe 170,  Front Mission 3 (emma ) I encountered a probem with the Xinzhu and Yingko paths.  When choosing Xinzhu the game hangs. 
To work around this choose Yingko.  Some players manage go to this path without a problem better save first before choosing Xinzhu path try different settings.
