How to Watch movie on your PSP

Step 1-

Make sure the PSP is switched off, and then connect to the computer. You will need a USB cable to do this. Once the connection is made, switch the PSP on.

Step 2-

Grab the PSP and go into the settings menu-once there, push the X button, which should link the PSP to the computer. It usually takes a few seconds for the two to get acquainted, but once it's done go to the computer and look in "My Computer"- Your PSP should appear in there the same way an external hard drive or some flash memory would.

Step 3-

Staying with the computer, go into the PSP, access the memory stick, and open the folder named "PSP". Once inside there create another folder, and name it "MP_ROOT", and another named "100mnv01."

Step 4-

To watch movies on a PSP they need to be in MP4 format. I'll tell you where to get some great software for converting DVDs to MP4s a little later. Assuming you have the MP4s saved to the computer, all that's needed is to save the MP4s that you want to watch into the folder you just created named "100mnv01". Once you've done that, to play the movies all you need to do is click on them inside that folder with the PSP itself, and they should begin to play from there.

And that's all you need to do to watch movie on PSP. As mentioned earlier, you will need some software to rip the movies from the DVDs and convert them to MP4, and there is a link below taking you to a page reviewing some software like that. The ones I have reviewed not only convert to MP4 etc but will also allow you to download unlimited PSP games too!
