How to Remove Babylon search

How to Remove Babylon search

Computer


Go to Control panel then Programs and features check if there is any Babylon search installed.  If see one uninstall it.



 




















Click "my computer"  go to  drive c:\ then program files,  look for babylon folder and delete it.
  Browser

Mozilla Firefox


1. Open you Mozzila firefox browser the upper right corner of browser you'll see different search engines.  click the small arrow and click on Manage Search Engines.  Remove babylon search.



 









2. Next,  go to the navigation bar type "about:config"  type babylon at the search bar.  All traces of babylon will show right click on the syntax and choose reset. Restart your browser.



 








3.  Open Firefox, click options and options again.  At the general tab change the homepage (if it is set to babylon).

4.  Click Firefox then help and choose troubleshooting information.  Click show folder, look for prefs.js edit it with notepad.  Once inside look for babylon search and erase it then save, do it to all prefs files.  Look for user.js open the file and look for babylon.  If you see one delete it.


5.  Lastly run Spybot Search and destroy just to make sure. 


Google Chrome


1.  Open Google chrome click Customize and control Google chrome button located at the upper right corner of google chrome. 


2.  Click settings, choose "Open a specific page or set of pages set pages"  remove the babylon search home page.


3.  Click "Settings", then "Search"  remove babylon from listing.


4.  Click "Extensions", if the is  babylon search install remove it.


Internet Explorer


1.  Open your internet explorer, click tools then internet options.

2.  At the General tab go to homepage and change it to about blank or any other homepage you like.
3.  Close the window
4.  Again click tools then manage add ons
5.  First check "tools and extensions" and see if there is any thing associated to babylon remove it if there is.
6.  Then go to "Search providers"  and remove babylon if you see one.
7.  Restart internet explorer and check if there is no longer a trace of babylon search.
