Story

The story of Diablo II takes place after the end of the prequel, Diablo, in the lands of Sanctuary where Diablo, the Lord of Terror, was defeated by an unnamed warrior. The hero who slew Diablo drove the demon's soulstone into his forehead in an attempt to contain him, but in the end, Diablo's soul was too strong for him, thus corrupting him. The player is an adventurer appearing in the wake of the destruction caused by Diablo, who attempts to find out the cause of the destruction, starting with the corrupted warrior. As the player continues through each of the four acts, he faces off against the Great Evils, superpowers of Hell, and learns of the truth behind the corruption. Diablo released Mephisto, Lord of Hatred, and Baal, Lord of Destruction , from their soulstones and were taught how to corrupt them by the fallen angel Izual. In the end, the player eventually reached and slayed Mephisto and Diablo. The story continues in the expansion to the game, where the player chases after the last of the Greater Evils; Baal, Lord of Destruction.

Tips

1. Gold

Sell items like weapons, armor, potions, gems, etc.
Note: Before selling weapons and armors make sure to repair them first.

2. Eternal items

Eternal items have high defense or attack but most of them cannot be repaired the best way to make use of them is to give them to your mercenary. Mercenaries’ item doesn’t sustain any damage.

3 Horadric Cube formulas

2 bolts = 1 quiver
2 quivers = 1 bolt
3 potion of mana + 3 potion of healing = 1 potion of rejuvenation
3 potion of rejuvenation = 1 full potion of rejuvenation
3 chipped gems + 1 sword = 1 socketed long sword
3 gems of the same type and level = 1 gem of a higher level (chipped, flawed, etc)
3 rings = 1 amulet
3 amulets = 1 ring
Secret cow level - After defeating Diablo go get Wirt's leg then buy a tome of town portal place the two items inside the horadric cube a portal will appear that will take you to the secret cow level.

4. Gems

Always bring a gem with you when traveling if you see a gem shrine the gem your carrying will upgrade to the next level once your touch the shrine if you don't have a gem with you a random chipped gem will appear.

5. Good items

Try to find golden chess almost 100% this chest contains magical items
Wear magical items with high probability to get magical items.
Use Barbarian's ability to find items.

6. Types of weapon, armor, item.

Normal
Magical
Rare items
Unique
Collectable (most powerful but hard to find)

7. Imbuing an item

If you’re going to imbue an item, imbue an item only your character can use.

8. Increase inventory

In Diablo the space for items is not a problem. Players can just leave their stuff on the ground in town and items do not vanish. In Diablo II players can do also the same but until save and exit only. This can be use if a player is collecting potions for a difficult fight against a strong monster.

9. Invest in your Mercenary

Invest on your mercenary, buy your mercenary the strongest items he/she can wear. This can be useful if your playing "hardcore game".
Among the mage mercenaries the strongest is the ice user. You'll can measure how strong a mercenary is by how often he/she dies.

Bugs

Mercenaries sometimes cannot be revive.

Solution: There is no solution you need to replace the character with a new one.

Monster sometimes do not drop the "Gidbinn blade"

Solution: Restart the game and do the quest again.
