1. Tips

1. Collect items from killed enemies and sell it to merchants.
2. Use thief’s pickpocket ability.
3. Search for mercenary jobs in town this is the best way to earn money.
4. Reputation is earned by doing good deeds.
5. Donate at least 1500 gold to the church.
6. Having a good reputation lessen ambush attack from enemies and the NPC`s will treat you nicely.
7. Do not use mage magic in town Cowled wizards will appear. Other magic’s can be use like Druid, Paladin and Assassin etc.
8. A mage magic can be use in town inside houses, Inn, etc as long as it is indoor.
9. A thief’s trap can be very useful in Baldur’s gate 2 ambush attack in town may appear in the same place so the next time place some traps where enemies usually appear. Traps in Baldur's gate 2 don't disappear unless used. (This doesn’t include random attacks)
10. Some enemies in Baldur's gate 2 needs to be converse first before the battle begins, so if you think you can't win place some traps around the enemy before talking to it. When the battle begins and the enemy moves from its origin position it will sprung the traps around it.
11. If an enemy dies with a trap you don't receive any Exp.
12. It is a good idea to check in the game play menu the rest upon until healed button. Be careful in resting outside of town enemies might appear while you are sleeping. Before sleeping if you still have healing magic’s use it to your characters. It is also a good idea to summon creatures and place them around the party before sleeping.
13. Use thief to scout unknown areas always use detect traps ability or detect traps of mages.
14. Trolls are quite strong you'll need to use fire arrows or acid arrows while trolls are knockdown or else they may get up.
15. Use far seeing to see if there are enemies on guard, if you see some use tangle or web magic so they can't get to you then use cloud kill or other same kind of magic. Finish them off by using projectile weapons.
16. Use summoned creatures as decoy them bombard enemies with missile weapons. It is also a good idea to use haze so you can move away fast or keep your distance to your enemies.
17. Somewhere in the dock district is a dwarf name Cromwell that can forge broken weapons.
18. You can almost kill every people in town without losing reputation. Use cleric magic charm or domination on the person, when the magic wears out the person will turn hostile and attack you then you can kill it without losing reputation.
19. Cast haste when ever you can to improve reaction time because in BG2 you miss your target more often than hitting it.
20. Thou in normal mode characters can be revive there are certain exemptions, if hit by a stone curse and hit by another offensive magic characters body will be shattered killing it instantly without a body character cannot be revive. I don't know if this is a bug in the game because in normal mode dead characters cannot die permanently.
21. Base of operation - In Baldur's gate 2 you'll need to search for a place to stash your gear. I think one of the you should take a look at is Cooper coronet, it has a wide open space, a merchant, a stash, a place to rest, and more importantly this is the place where your party members stays.

After your finish with your stat, just edit it depending on what kind of class you've created. 1.25 To trick a black dragon - Before fighting Irenicus you’ll need to defeat a black dragon to get a cup there are two options to get the cup, 1st kill the dragon, 2nd give all your magical items to the dragon in exchange for the cup. To trick the dragon remove all items before agreeing to the dragon’s condition.
26. Monsters and enemies appear and disappear in instant so always put summoned creatures on standby to be use as decoy so you can gain distance between you and your enemies.
27. Don’t sell your scrolls wait until you recruit other mage. Use the scrolls to further strengthen then
and gain exp. If your mage can no longer memorize the spell because of lack of intelligence, use potion of genius to help increase intelligence.
28. You can export your character in BG2 in another game example: Never winter nights.
29. The difference between imported file and save game file is that imported files only retain the exp of main character while in save game file your party members also have their share.
30. So hidden abilities are gained with high stats. Example: With high strength characters can carry more and has more attacking power, with high intelligence even if your character in not a mage it can identify items.
31. Dual class ability can be use by human call it is an ability to take two jobs at a time (example: thief/mage, bounty hunter/fighter). Beware in using dual class ability you may end-up losing your first class ability if not use well.
32. If your first job is at level 7 and you change to your second job your can use your first job ability at level 8.
33. Multi-class ability can be use by elf and half-elf race the difference between dual class and multi class, in
multi-class can use the both abilities and level up at the same time.
34. There is a dwarf blacksmith named Cromwell who specializes in creating/restoring items you can find him at the Dock district.
